Childhood Fantasies Brought to Life: Hotels.com Launches a Lisa-Frank Inspired Pop-Up Hotel
When it comes to unique branding cross-over opportunities, pop-ups seem like the go-to choice for creating interactive, tangible experiences (see Saved by the Bell). Now the latest pop-up experience with an iconic 90s brand with a unique twist is none other than Lisa Frank. Famous for its glittery and rainbow color animals and designs that adorned everything from trapper-keppers to stickers to notebooks for so many tween girls in the 90s, fans can now stay in a hotel with anything and everything Lisa Frank.
Located in downtown Los Angeles’s Barsala hotel, the room which you can stay in for $199 a night, features a lounge area, a light-up canopy bed, a rainbow kitchen, a bathroom with under-the-sea decorations, and a little desk space for working (all with Lisa Frank desk and stationary accessories). Keeping with the 90s vibe, the mini-fridge is stocked with popular and colorful snacks from any millenials childhood such as Air Heads, Pixie Sticks, Gushers, Fun Dip, and Cheez Balls! In addition to all these amenities, guests can also take home the complimentary bathrobes, slippers and eye-masks.
All of this makes for a playful and unexpected collaboration that is surely to be continued with other brands looking to not only capture the feelings of nostalgia for their audience but also to execute a fully immersive interactive experience.
