Of these 10 ads, #3, #6 and #7 are the most dumb mostly due to their creative direction and imagery that is present.
#3 is dumb since the elongated word (which I finally figured out was “obese”) is incredibly difficult to read, thus diluting the message of the ad. Additionally, I really don’t why elongating the word “obese” relates to weight-loss or exercise in anyway. It’s just plain confusing.
#6 takes an incredibly literally interpretation of the tagline “we orchestrate fish” by having the fish form the face of Mozart or some classical music composer. It comes across as uncreative, boring and worst of all thoughtless. I mean really, I think that most people could come up with a creative execution like this.
#7 takes the same uninspired approach as #6 as the imagery takes the tagline way too literally. Yeah, I clearly get the “we when the water goes, we dry” message, but it’s so heavy handed and in your face that it’s easily forgettable and leaves no emotional impact on the viewer.
